Fathers Day - Why insurance matters as a Parent

It is the 1st of June which means Father's Day is just around the corner, I’m not a Father myself unless you count my dog Gus… However, it feels like everyone around me is starting a family of their own, last month we welcomed my Nephew into the world and also celebrated the first birthday of my Niece. It seems that with Father’s Day coming up, it’s the perfect time to reflect on the importance of parents/carers and the crucial role they play in our lives.

Parents and carers form the foundation of a strong family, providing love, support, and guidance. With this in mind, we would like to shed light on the significance of having insurance in place to protect the well-being of Fathers and their families.

Life Insurance: Safeguarding Your Loved Ones' Future:

Life insurance serves as a safety net, ensuring that your loved ones are financially protected in the event of your untimely passing. It provides a lump sum payment to your beneficiaries, granting them financial security and peace of mind if the worst were to happen. By securing life insurance, parents can rest assured that their family's future will be safeguarded, allowing them to focus on creating cherished memories.

Critical Illness Cover/ Serious Illness Cover: Preparing for the Unexpected:

Health scares can strike at any time, often leaving families emotionally and financially burdened. CIC/SIC can provide a vital lifeline by offering a lump sum payment upon diagnosis of a covered critical illness. This financial support offers access to necessary treatments, second opinions, and the ability to take time off work to recover without worrying about the strain on the family's finances.

Income Protection: Shielding Your Income:

Life's uncertainties can also bring unexpected challenges, such as accidents, injuries, or illnesses that render either parent unable to work. Income protection insurance acts as a shield by providing a regular income replacement if you're unable to earn due to disability or sickness. It could ensure that financial commitments can be maintained even during times of adversity.

Sharing Stories:

Every Friday before Father’s Day on the 18th of June, we will be sharing stories of successful insurance claims that have been made. These stories highlight real-life examples of individuals who were able to protect their families and overcome unforeseen circumstances. By reading these accounts, you'll gain insights into how insurance has made a tangible difference in the lives of families and their loved ones. The stories are from AIG, Legal and General, and Vitality. Make sure you are following us on our socials to see these real-life examples.
